Rick Lohr Presents: Vietnam 1989

Rick traveled to Vietnam in 1989 with the Sarus Crane Foundation. At the time, Vietnam was still recovering from the war and Rick and other travelers were able to visit the villages and talk with farmers about their lives following the war, about their lives and about the cranes.
They also visited the MeKong Delta, which means "Great River" one o the greatest of Asia. Join Rick as he takes your through Vietnam.

The Douro River is one of the most important rivers in the Iberian Peninsula. Although today it is a navigable river, in the past, Rabelo boats were essential and was extremely dangerous due to strong currents & half-submerged rocks. It was only in the 1950s and 1960s that river transport became safer.
