Fall Explorations in Rhinelander
Friday, September 19th- Meet at 8:00am in The Landing for Shuttle Departure
Rhinelander, WI
Enjoy the fall colors on this scenic trip to Rhinelander. Our first stop is Hanson's Garden Village, a family owned and operated green house and nursey with a special focus on regional native plants and some seasonal fun.
Next, we will take a short visit to Golden Harvest Market, a natural and organic health food store. Lunch will be at Rhinelander Family Restaurant.
Finally, we will stop at the unique Briar House for a unique selection of women's apparel, gifts and books.

Marathon County Solid Waste Landfill Tour- Two Tours Offered

Join us for this fascinating and enlightening tour of The Marathon County Solid Waste Department in Ringle and discover that is is so much more than just a landfill.
The tour will provide you with up-close looks at the landfill site, how materials we dispose get handles, recycling, waste reduction, hazardous household material collection and miles of trails, native plant restoration, wildlife and bluebird nesting boxes.

Birds, in all their majesty and fragility, connect us with the natural world. All-new work by some of the world's most talented artisits serves as a fitting tribute to this year's milestone 50th annual exhibition. Discover how artists' interpretations of birds inspire you and why, throughout five decades, Birds in Art has garnered international acclaim. Visit the exhibition with Museum educators to learn about avian-themed artworks created from artists around the world.

2025 Mammoth Challenge with IRONBULL
Tuesdays & Thursdays Throughout October- All hikes depart at 10:00am from locations below.
Feel the team spirit & join The Landing as we take on the Mammoth Hike Challenge. Our goal is to have you complete 45 miles as a team or individually. There will be trail guides for 7 different hikes, at various Ice Age Trail locations.

We will explore the prairies of Navarino by covered trolley. Marvel in the fall colors and fall migration through the Prairie loop and wildlife are at Navarino Nature Center.
After a stop at Hilltop Pub & Grill for lunch we will head to Herrschners in Stevens Point, the premier supplier of unqie, quality needlework, designer fabrics and craft kits.
Our last stop will be at the Wisconsin Dairy State Cheese Company to relish in a diverse range of cheese varieties.
